Duties and description

Original English description
  • Dismantle defective machines and agricultural equipment for repair. Overhaul farm machinery, agricultural equipment, and vehicles, including tractors, seeding equipment, and tillage machinery. Tune, service, and overhaul engines and related mechanical systems. Repair or replace faulty components and reassemble machinery according to manufacturer specifications. Clean and lubricate parts. Test and replace electrical components and wiring, using test meters, soldering equipment, and hand tools. Perform general building maintenance and repairs to ensure facilities remain safe and operational. Record details of repairs made and parts used. Drive trucks to haul tools and equipment for on-site repair of large machinery.

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employers expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children on the farm and expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 70 pounds. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Frequent stooping is required. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
