Data can change at the source. Always confirm the official job order before sending documents, accepting conditions or making a decision.
Main source
The main source is SeasonalJobs.gov, a public service maintained by the U.S. Department of Labor. We query the public feed of job orders shown as H-2A and active at the source.
H2A Works does not create jobs, does not alter the official order and receives no priority over other users of the source.
How collection works
A synchronization process periodically queries the source, receives the available records and updates the H2A Works database. Each job is identified by its official case number to reduce duplicates.
1. Public source
We query active H-2A records displayed by the DOL.
2. Synchronization
New and changed records are updated in the database.
3. Normalization
Fields are organized into a standard for reading and search.
4. Display
The platform applies filters without changing the official content.
What data we organize
- Case number, visa class and reported status.
- Title, occupation, duties and number of positions.
- Employer and the public contact details made available.
- City, state, address and ZIP code of the worksite.
- Pay range, pay unit and schedule, when reported.
- Start and end dates and education level, when available.
- Email, phone or URL to apply, when published.
How we handle missing fields
Empty, “N/A” or invalid values are treated as not informed. We do not fill in pay, dates, contact or requirements with assumptions. When data is not available, the interface should say so instead of making up an answer.
We may standardize spacing, dates and technical structures for search and display, keeping the raw synchronization data for operational traceability.
Updates and availability
Synchronization is periodic, but we do not promise real-time updates or a fixed frequency. Source unavailability, maintenance, technical limits and feed changes may cause delays.
Records are not necessarily erased from history when they stop appearing; they may be marked inactive to preserve related applications and views. “Active” on H2A Works reflects the last synchronized state and does not guarantee the employer is still recruiting.
What you should confirm
- Open the official order and check that the case number and status are still valid.
- Confirm pay, location, dates, duties, requirements and how to apply.
- Never pay to buy a job or a promise of hiring.
- Be wary of contacts promising a visa, approval or guaranteed travel.
- Check government sources for rules that may change.
Independence and limits
H2A Works is independent and has no affiliation, representation or accreditation with the U.S. Department of Labor, USCIS, the Department of State, embassies or consulates.
The presence of a job does not mean we investigated the employer beyond the public data, that we recommend the opportunity or that we validated every detail. In case of discrepancy, the official source and the current job order prevail.
