Duties and description

Original English description
  • Monitor grain conditioning equipment to ensure efficient and safe conditioning of grain to meet quality standards. This will include running fans and dryers to achieve acceptable grade. Load hoppers to feed machines with products, using forklifts, suction gates, shovels, pitchforks and other equipment. Weigh crop-filled containers, and record weights and other identifying information. Place products in containers according to grade. This may include bags or totes. Weigh products or estimate their weight, visually or by feel. Clean grain to separate foreign matter. Discard inferior or defective products or foreign matter, and place acceptable products in containers for further processing. Guide products to regulate flow through machines, and to discard diseased or rotten products. monitor and report grain moisture and grades. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning conditioning equipment, storage areas, and surrounding facilities. disassembly and reassembly of components for replacement of bearings, lubricants, filters, parts, chains, belts and worn components, and surfacing and welding of cracks. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and the team. Run fans and other equipment to condition grain and control moisture levels. Must speak and understand English.

Two (2) months of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 65 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
