Duties and description
Original English description
- Workers will perform routine manual labor associated with the maintenance and care of blueberry fields. Duties include mowing, trimming vegetation, removing weeds, applying mulch, maintaining drainage ditches, installing, repairing, and removing irrigation lines, and maintaining row middles and field borders. Workers will assist with pruning blueberry bushes, removing dead or damaged branches, and clearing debris from fields. Workers may help install and remove bird netting, stakes, fencing, and other field infrastructure.
- Workers will use hand tools such as shovels, hoes, loppers, pruning shears, rakes, and may operate basic farm equipment and maintenance tools under supervision. Workers will perform general farm maintenance, including cleaning and repairing equipment, picking up trash and field debris, loading and unloading materials, and maintaining a safe and orderly worksite.
