Duties and description

Original English description
  • Workers will live and work on an 80 acre Chicken Farm with 6 Broiler Houses. They will walk through the houses twice daily, removing any dead or diseased birds. They will monitor feed supply levels, monitor premises, manage landscape, monitor and manage operation of equipment, and report daily to owner. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth inhibitors, etc, be able to handle working in high humidity, clean work areas, direct and monitor work during planting and harvesting, inform farm managers of plants or crops progress, maintain grounds and landscaping, maintain inventory, mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter, spreader, sprayer type machinery, regulate conditions, repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment, repair farm buildings, and other structures, tend to livestock by feeding, medicating, general care, grading, sorting, working, placing identification on, or relocating, trap and destroy pests, use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, and knives, use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools, work in extreme temperatures. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: bins, silos, dirt moving equipment, manure spreading equipment, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc, sprayers, tillage equipment, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: chickens. Must speak and understand English.

Be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, cold. Lift and carry supplies. Follow instructions. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license within 30 days following hire and obtain clean driving record to be able to operate company vehicle. Lift up to 50 lbs.
