Duties and description
- Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Feeding, watering, herding, castrating, branding, weighing, catching, and loading animals.
- Examining animals to detect diseases and injuries.
- Assisting in birthing, administering medications, vaccinations, or insecticides.
- Maintaining winter animal housing areas; using diggers, shovels and other equipment needed.
- Ongoing maintenance includes cleaning, maintaining and repair of equipment and fences, various workshop tasks as well as maintenance of grain bins and general buildings
- Use of various farm and cattle specific equipment.
- Install, maintain and repair electric fences
- Maintaining records, as required by relevant various entities, clients and inhouse management
- Receive and place stocker cattle on corn stalks for grazing.
- Pull cattle off stalks (prior to planting).
- Sell cattle, move cattle with stock trailer.
