Duties and description

Original English description
  • Agricultural Equipment operators work closely with the Treating, Packaging, and Warehousing Supervisor, as well as the Plant Operations Manager.
  • Essential job functions may include, but not limited to:
  • Transport workers to and from Company facility Location(s)
  • Seasonal Packaging Operations:
  • Work closely with the Treating and Packaging Supervisor and Plant Operations Manager to ensure that corn seed packages meet customer requirements. Responsibilities include:
  • Performing work activities safely.
  • Lifting and stacking materials up to 68 lbs for extended periods of time
  • Standing to fill and close packaged product for extended periods of time.
  • Successfully pass the forklift training and receive an operator’s certificate.
  • Operating bagging equipment according to instructions
  • Ensuring that bag labels are accurate, neat, legible and professional in appearance
  • Application of appropriate tags and/or labels to seed packages
  • Thorough cleaning of all equipment in order to maintain product integrity;
  • Ensuring that seed pallets are neatly stacked and securely wrapped from packaging line; deliver finished seed pallets or boxes to the warehouse.
  • Prepare and clean (if needed) packaging materials to be used according to customer specifications. This would include boxes and paper bags.
  • Maintaining a neat, clean, and organized work area
  • *All packaging is done at a farming location*
