Résumé
US résumé: resume vs CV, template and common mistakes
See the difference between a resume and a CV, how to build a US-style résumé, what to leave out and the most common mistakes of people applying from abroad.

In the United States, the résumé is one or two pages and lean: it shows what you did and which results you brought. The CV, which is longer, is used in academic and research contexts. For a job application, the résumé is what is expected.
Quick answer: one page (two only with lots of experience), no photo, age, marital status or CPF, with jobs listed from most recent to oldest, results in numbers and the keywords of the job.
Resume vs CV
- Resume: short, tailored to the job, 1 to 2 pages.
- CV: long and complete, with publications and detailed education, used in academia.
