Duties and description

Original English description
  • Operate agricultural machinery to handle reception, hauling, packing, and bulk sealing of harvested forage. Operate agricultural machinery for soil leveling, pen conditioning, and sanitation. Assemble and install prefabricated livestock equipment (waterers, feeders) and clear operational maneuver areas to prepare for the incoming dry cows (non-lactating livestock). Transport farm products to silos for storage and processing.

Minimum experience
3 months of experience

Must have at least 3 months experience operating agricultural equipment. Must have valid, regular driver's license or be able to obtain one with in one week of hire. Ability to read and write and follow maps for road and field boundaries. Ability to troubleshoot and conduct relatively minor equipment repairs and daily maintenance. Minimum driving experience with either automobile, truck or motorized vehicle. Must have basic comprehension of highway safety to facilitate the moving of equipment between fields on public roadways.
