Duties and description

Original English description
  • After the grower/landowner cultivates the pine trees and the forestry division marks the areas for harvest, workers will manually gather pine straw by raking, baling, stacking, grading, sorting, and tying pine straw. Workers will clean field areas by collecting sticks, limbs, and other debris before raking. Workers will perform general field sanitation, cleaning, and weed control duties as assigned. Workers must be able to frequently bend, stoop, lift, and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
