Duties and description

Original English description
  • Workers will plant broccoli seedlings using a mechanical transplanter by riding on and/or walking behind the transplanter, placing seedlings into prepared planting beds at the proper depth and spacing. Workers will inspect newly planted rows and hand-replace missed, doubled, or damaged seedlings as needed to ensure proper plant spacing and establishment. Workers will keep the transplanter supplied with trays of broccoli seedlings and stage empty trays for return to the greenhouse or nursery. Workers will also assist with minor irrigation line placement or adjustments immediately following planting.
