Duties and description

Original English description
  • Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, and storage of crops, Grade and sort products according to factors such
  • as color, species, length, width, appearance, feel, smell, and quality to ensure correct processing and usage. Operate and
  • monitor grain conditioning equipment to ensure efficient and safe conditioning of grain to meet quality standards. Load
  • hoppers to feed machines with products, using forklifts, suction gates, shovels, pitchforks and other equipment. Place
  • products in containers according to grade. Weigh products or estimate their weight, visually or by feel. Discard inferior or
  • defective products or foreign matter, and place acceptable products in containers for further processing and shipping.
  • Guide products to regulate flow through machines, and to discard diseased or rotten products. monitor and report grain
  • moisture and grades. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning conditioning equipment,
  • storage areas, and surrounding facilities. Remove snow from work areas as needed. Workers must have or be able to
  • obtain a Class A Non-CDL drivers license. Workers must adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe
  • working environment for yourself and the team. Load semi’s with hopper bottom trailers without over or underfilling
  • trailers; drive and deliver grain to market using semi-trucks. Winterize and repair equipment. Must speak and understand English.

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
