Duties and description

Original English description
  • Plant, cultivate and harvest bell pepper & specialty pepper, zucchini, squash & eggplant, green beans, watermelon, sugar cane, rice, lettuce, Asian leafy vegetables & leafy vegetables, herbs, radishes, celery, sweet corn. Use hand tools, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears and knives. Land preparation, minor maintenance, crop maintenance, miscellaneous clean up, hoeing, tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning and or pruning, hauling produce or any other farm related material including mill mud. Cleaning, grading, sorting, packing and loading harvested products. Must be able to reach, stand, stoop, bend and lift items weighing 50 pounds to shoulder height repetitively throughout the workday. Must be able to work outdoors in wet, dusty and dirty conditions, in extreme heat and cold inclement weather. Must be able to listen to, understand and follow simple instructions of supervisors and dispatcher. Must be able to work in fields where ants, snakes and poison ivy are encountered. Use of personal cell phone or other personal electronic devices during working hours is strictly prohibited except for work-related calls or emergencies and violation may result in immediate termination.
  • Plantar, cultivar y cosechar pimiento morrón y pimiento especial, calabacín, calabaza y berenjena, judías verdes, sandía, caña de azúcar, arroz, lechuga, verduras de hoja asiáticas y verduras de hoja, hierbas, rábanos, apio, maíz dulce. Usar herramientas manuales, como palas, paletas, azadas, apisonadores, podaderas, tijeras y cuchillos. Preparación de la tierra, mantenimiento menor, mantenimiento de cultivos, limpieza miscelánea, escardar, labrar la tierra, trasplantar, desherbar, ralear y/o podar, transportar productos o cualquier otro material relacionado con la granja, incluido el lodo del molino. Limpiar, clasificar, clasificar, empacar y cargar productos cosechados. Debe ser capaz de alcanzar, pararse, agacharse, doblarse y levantar artículos que pesen 50 libras a la altura de los hombros repetidamente durante la jornada laboral. Debe ser capaz de trabajar al aire libre en condiciones húmedas, polvorientas y sucias, en condiciones climáticas extremas de calor y frío.
