Duties and description

• Workers will perform manual field labor associated with the production and harvest of kale, collards, and cabbage. Duties include, but are not limited to, cutting mature crops by hand using knives or other approved harvesting tools; trimming, sorting, bunching or packing product in the field as required; placing harvested product into bins, boxes, or other designated containers; removing damaged or unmarketable product; and maintaining product quality during harvest.
• Workers may assist with field sanitation, cleanup of harvest areas, removal of crop debris, loading harvested product for transport from the field, and other hand labor activities directly related to the production and harvest of kale, collards, and cabbage.
• Workers will use care to avoid damage to crops, equipment, and containers and must follow all food safety, worker safety, and quality requirements established by the employer.
• Los trabajadores realizarán labores agrícolas manuales relacionadas con la producción y cosecha de col rizada (kale), berza (collards) y repollo (cabbage). Las tareas incluyen, entre otras, cortar los cultivos maduros manualmente utilizando cuchillos u otras herramientas de cosecha aprobadas; recortar, clasificar, hacer manojos o empacar el producto en el campo, según sea necesario; colocar el producto cosechado en bins, cajas u otros recipientes designados; retirar producto dañado o no apto para su comercialización; y mantener la calidad del producto durante la cosecha.
• Los trabajadores también podrán ayudar con las actividades de saneamiento del campo, limpieza de las áreas de cosecha, remoción de residuos del cultivo, carga del producto cosechado para su transporte fuera del campo y otras labores manuales directamente relacionadas con la producción y cosecha de col rizada (kale), berza (collards) y repollo (cabbage).
• Los trabajadores deberán desempeñar sus labores con cuidado para evitar daños al cultivo, al equipo y a los recipientes, y deberán cumplir con todos los requisitos de inocuidad alimentaria, seguridad laboral y estándares de calidad establecidos por el empleador.
