Duties and description
- Operate stationary equipment such as bale press to perform post-harvest tasks such as ginning; record weights and other identifying information including weight of bale and seed; manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery; guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines; observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions; adjust, repair, and service machinery and notify supervisors of malfunctions; daily upkeep and cleaning of equipment while ginning; during times of peak need and depending on weather or crop conditions, hours requested may increase to up to 12 hours per day and employer may run day/night shifts; work at night may be requested; employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath.
