Duties and description
Original English description
- Workers must be able to: prepare fields for irrigation by sprinkler or drip delivery system; set up and move irrigation pipes and equipment; perform scheduled irrigation of the fields; assist with seeding activities; operate farm equipment; assist in planting and cultivation activities; weed and hoe crops, (weeding will be done by hoe, not hand, and with a long-handled hoe); assist with harvest activities; perform farmwork incidental to farming the crop(s) listed on this application; and other tasks and duties under SOC Code 45-2092. Related duties may be assigned. All tasks herein constitute one job. Work is performed outdoors in highly varied weather conditions. Frequent walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and kneeling is required. Being on one’s feet for long periods of time is required. Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds is required. Dexterity to use and manipulate hand tools, farm equipment, and crops is required. Vision, focus, and cognitive ability to accomplish the functions above is required.

Workers must have 30 days verifiable experience performing the job duties under Section A(8)(a). Work schedules may be subject to change where weather, crops, or business needs demand. Work schedules, crew assignments, and assigned work tasks are ultimately at the sole discretion of the employer. For purposes of meeting the 3/4 guarantee, workers will not be required to work more than the number of hours specified in this job order or on their Sabbath or Federal holidays. Workers must comply with the employers work rules and housing rules, which are set forth in full in this job order.
