Duties and description
Original English description
- Sort and package and warehouse corn seed produced by this farm. Keep work area clean.
- Seasonal Packaging Operators work closely with the Packaging Supervisor and Plant Operations
- Manager to ensure that seed packages meet customer requirements. Responsibilities include:
- Performing work activities safely.
- Lifting and stacking materials up to 68 lbs for extended periods of time
- * Standing to fill and close packaged product for extended periods of time.
- * Successfully pass the forklift training and receive an operator's certificate.
- Operating bagging equipment according to instructions
- ° Ensuring that bag labels are accurate, neat, legible and professional in appearance
- Application of appropriate tags and/or labels to seed packages
- *Thorough cleaning of all equipment in order to maintain product integrity;
- * Ensuring that seed pallets are neatly stacked and securely wrapped from packaging line; deliver finished seed pallets or boxes to the warehouse.
- * Prepare and clean (if needed) packaging materials to be used according to customer
- specifications. This would include boxes and paper bags.
- Maintaining a neat, clean, and organized work area
- Seasonal Rebag Operators work closely with the Rebag Supervisor to meet customer quality and packaging requirements during repackaging processes. Responsibilities include:
- * Performing work activities safely.
- * Lifting and stacking materials up to 68 lbs for extended periods of time
- * Standing to fill and close packaged product for extended periods of time.
- * Successfully pass the forklift training and receive an operator's certificate.
- * Operating bagging equipment according to instructions
- * Ensuring that bag labels are accurate, neat, legible and professional in appearance
- * Application of appropriate tags and/or labels to seed packages
- * Thorough cleaning of all equipment in order to maintain product integrity
