Strawberry harvesting: $1.75 per 8x1, 4x2, or 2x4 clamshell flat, approximately 8 lbs and up depending upon condition of the strawberries. Estimated hourly rate at $14.00 per hour harvesting (8) clamshell flats per hour. $14.00 per hour guaranteed
Duties and description
Original English description
- Duties required: harvest, count, plant, field pack, stack, load and unload strawberries. Other duties may include installation/maintenance of drip-tape irrigation, pruning, scanning, cutting/trimming, weeding, laying/pulling plastic/drip-tape and general farm labor. Light mechanical work, tractor operating, laying plastic, and packing. This will be done under extreme weather conditions. Heavy bending, stooping and lifting will be involved on a daily basis. Random drug testing will be post hire at employer's expense. Workers must pick at least 7.5 units per hour in strawberries, 8.5 units per hour in squash, and 5.5 units per hour in peppers.

Ability to lift up to 60 pounds. The employer has a drug-free workplace program. Drug screening will be conducted post-hire at employer's expense. Failure to pass the drug screening, slowness, fighting, rudeness, damage of property, or absenteeism may/will result in termination.
