Duties and description
- 1. Must have a satisfactory understanding and knowledge of electrical over hydraulics functions in mechanical equipment.
- 2. Must be able to make minor repairs and adjustments to equipment and perform daily maintenance on equipment.
- 3. Must be able to operate a chainsaw.
- 4. Must be at least 18 years of age and have six months of referenced, paid experience as a fellerbuncher operator.
- 5. Must be in good health and physical condition and be able to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
- 6. Must be able to read, understand, interpret, and execute harvest prescriptions issued by forester, landowner, and/or employer.
- 7. Must have a compatible understanding and knowledge of tree species.
- 8. Must be able to exercise proper felling techniques and promptly determine the most beneficial selection of cutting lengths.
- 9. Must abide by all employer, landowner, and OSHA regulations as they relate to the forestry industry.
