How to find companies that sponsor US work visas
Learn where to check which companies have sponsored visas in the US, how to approach a job that sponsors and which scam signs to avoid.

Sponsoring a visa means the US company files for the visa on your behalf and takes responsibility for part of the process. For a Brazilian outside the US, almost every work visa depends on that. The good news is that public data shows which companies have done it.
Quick answer: search the US government's public databases of companies that have filed for visas, filter jobs that state sponsorship, be honest about your situation from the first contact, and be wary of anyone who charges to "find" you a sponsor.
Where to see who has sponsored
- USCIS data: USCIS publishes a database of employers that filed for H-1B (the H-1B Employer Data Hub).
- Department of Labor data: the DOL releases public databases of certification filings, showing companies, positions and wages. Search for "OFLC performance data".
- Third-party sites that reorganize this data, such as MyVisaJobs and H1BGrader. They are useful, but check the information against the official source.
