Watermelon duties may vary from time-to-time.
Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by their supervisor. Perform manual labor.
Workers will harvest, cut, pick, field pack and load watermelons under extreme weather conditions under the
Florida sun. Loading a bus efficiently may take up to 30-40 minutes. Use hand told like shear and knives proficiently for assigned tasks. Load and unload stakes, harvested products and materials. Duties also include tying, loading, and unloading stakes, cleaning, loading, and unloading harvested products. Duties will also include operating a forklift, assisting mechanics, and pulling weeds tasks in challenging outdoor
conditions.
Vegetables: Workers will participate in various agricultural tasks such as shoveling, hauling, laying plastic, tying tomatoes, pulling plastic, clean up, driving tractor and driving within in the farm setting. Engage in
manual planting, cultivation and harvesting of vegetables and field crops.
Utilize a range of hand tools for tiling soil, thinning and pruning, and weeding activities. Assist in irrigation
maintenance and repair endeavors. Contribute to fencing and farm building repairs as required.
