Atividades e descrição

  • Duties include field and greenhouse work: seed sowing, planting (by hand and mechanical),
  • weeding, staking, trellising crops, harvesting, irrigation maintenance/installation, greenhouse crop culture, washing and packing produce in totes and boxes, occasional packing organic
  • produce, transporting workers to and from employer owned housing, work sites and stores, and the loading and unloading trucks of harvested produce. Crops include eggplant, pepper, tomato, tomatillo, okra, potato, sweet potato, onion, cucumber, squash, green bean, lettuce, cabbage, greens, kale, spinach, cauliflower, broccoli, celery, carrot, radish, beet, snap pea, watermelon, various herbs and spices, ginger, turmeric, leek, roselle, and flowers.
  • This will be done under extreme weather condition such as heat, direct sunlight, possible rain, wind, and exposure to pollen. Repetitive physical conditions such as heavy bending, stooping and lifting will be involved on a regular basis.
  • Work schedule is 7.5 hours per day from 7:00am - 3:00pm Monday - Friday,
  • Saturday is 13 hours from 4:00am - 5:30pm.
  • Experience with harvesting, greenhouse work, crop trellising, transplanting, record keeping, operating 23 HP minimum tractor for agricultural applications, experience driving a 25,999 GVW straight truck with full load, experience shuttling/chauffeuring passengers, spraying crops, and have the ability to communicate with the field workers in their spoken language is required.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a FL drivers license within 30 days.
