• Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, and storage of crops, Grade and sort products according to factors such as color, species, length, width, appearance, feel, smell, and quality to ensure correct processing and usage. Operate and monitor grain conditioning equipment to ensure efficient and safe conditioning of grain to meet quality standards. Load hoppers to feed machines with products, using forklifts, suction gates, shovels, pitchforks and other equipment. Place products in containers according to grade. Weigh products or estimate their weight, visually or by feel. Discard inferior or defective products or foreign matter, and place acceptable products in containers for further processing and shipping. Guide products to regulate flow through machines, and to discard diseased or rotten products. monitor and report grain moisture and grades. Set up repair, maintain, and run specialized equipment, use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools. Make adjustments and replace parts as needed such as filters, chains, belts, bearings, fluids, etc. Maintain and repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning conditioning equipment, storage areas, and surrounding facilities. This job will require workers to perform duties in extreme conditions including cold, snow, ice and rain. Remove snow from work areas as needed. This could be by hand or mechanical means using tools such as shovels, snow blowers, buckets, loaders, scrapers etc. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and the team. Load semi’s with hopper bottom trailers without over or underfilling trailers; drive and deliver grain to market using semi-trucks. Must speak and understand English.
