- Duties may include: Job duties include but are not limited to the following: Examine equipment to locate and diagnose malfunctions. Dismantle defective machines for repair. Repair or replace defective parts. Reassemble machines and equipment following repair, testing operations and making adjustments, as necessary. Clean and lubricate parts. Test and replace electrical components. Tune or overhaul engines. Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance. Test mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning. This job is spent primarily in the shop & other related Farm Equipment Mechanic activities as per SOC/OES 49-3041 (onetonline.org).
- Possible weekend/holiday work. Employees will be provided with a 30-minute unpaid meal break and standard rest breaks during the workday.
- The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate.
