• Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, and storage of crops, Grade and sort products according to
• factors such as color, species, length, width, appearance, feel, smell, and quality to ensure correct
• processing and usage. Operate and monitor grain conditioning equipment to ensure efficient and safe
• conditioning of grain to meet quality standards. Operate fans and dryers to condition grain and achieve
• highest possible grade while maintaining acceptable moisture levels. Load hoppers to feed machines with
• products, using forklifts, suction gates, shovels, pitchforks and other equipment. Place products in
• containers according to grade. Weigh products or estimate their weight, visually or by feel. Discard inferior
• or defective products or foreign matter, and place acceptable products in containers for further processing
• and shipping. Guide products to regulate flow through machines, and to discard diseased or rotten
• products. monitor and report grain moisture and grades. Maintain a clean and organized work
• environment, including cleaning conditioning equipment, storage areas, and surrounding facilities. Remove
• snow from work areas as needed. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working
• environment for yourself and the team. Load semi’s with hopper bottom trailers drive and deliver grain to
• terminals using semi-trucks. Feed livestock and monitor food supplies such as filling feeders, mineral and
• hay. Mix feed, additives, and medicines in prescribed portions. Drive trucks, tractors, and other equipment
• to distribute feed to animals. Examine animals to detect illness, injury, or disease, and to check physical
• characteristics, such as rate of weight gain. Provide medical treatment, such as administering
• medications and vaccinations, Mark livestock to identify ownership and grade, using brands, tags, paint, or
• tattoos. Must speak and understand English.
