• Perform agricultural work primarily related to feeding and caring for beef cattle at a cattle feeding and farming operation. Feed cattle; inspect and monitor cattle for signs of illness, injury, or abnormal behavior; move, sort, receive, and process cattle; clean and maintain cattle pens, feed bunks, waterers, alleys, and livestock facilities; handle and apply manure; maintain fences; and perform other routine livestock-care duties.
• Operate and maintain agricultural equipment including feed trucks, tractors, loaders, skid steers, farm trucks, and harvesting equipment. Perform routine cleaning, servicing, and minor maintenance of farm and feedlot equipment and facilities. Drive employer-provided farm vehicles on public roads as required to transport grain, feed, agricultural commodities, equipment, and farm supplies between employer worksites, fields, and agricultural destinations. Valid driver's license required. CDL and heavy-truck driving experience preferred but not required.
• Assist with seasonal crop-production activities as needed on approximately 1,500 acres, primarily corn with some soybeans, rye, and hay. Duties may include field preparation, planting, irrigation, crop maintenance, hay and forage production, silage harvest, grain harvest, grain and feed hauling, manure application, and other general farm work.
• Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions and around livestock, machinery, dust, mud, manure, and agricultural facilities. Workers must be able to safely perform physically demanding agricultural work and follow employer safety and animal-handling procedures.
• Agricultural experience is preferred but not required. Experience with livestock, farm machinery, crop production, mechanical work, or other agricultural work is beneficial. Employer will provide job-specific training.
