Farmworker

The seasonal agricultural worker will perform duties related to livestock care, fencing, equipment operation, and general farm and ranch activities. Duties will include operating and maintaining farm and ranch equipment; operating ATVs and skid loaders; operating a bale processor and removing and disposing of twine after use; breaking ice in livestock water sources; constructing and maintaining electric fences around crop circles and pivot points; tagging calves and administering vaccinations or other routine animal health treatments as directed by the employer; observing cattle and calves for signs of illness, injury, or other health concerns and reporting problems to the employer; assisting with calving activities and cleaning calving pens using a skid loader; hauling calves and other livestock from one field or pasture to another using a livestock trailer; and assisting with branding calves. Workers will also perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and inspection of equipment and livestock facilities and other related agricultural duties as assigned. Work will be performed outdoors and may require exposure to varying weather conditions, livestock, dust, and farm equipment. Pay increases based on longevity and experience may be provided at the employer’s discretion. Bonuses may also be provided at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion. Any pay increases or bonuses are discretionary and are not guaranteed.
