Set, operate and maintain all types of farming equipment in order to harvest and haul grain and soybean crops. Perform fall field tilling. Load and unload crops. Transport crops to storage facilities or local markets. Service, repair and winterize farming equipment. Operate self-propelled custom class harvesting machines to harvest a variety of grain crops. Adjust speed of cutters, blowers, conveyors, and height of cutting head using hand tools. Change cutting head as appropriate for crops. Drive heavy trucks to transport produce to elevator or storage area. Drive transporter truck to haul harvesting equipment between work locations. Service, repair and winterize farming equipment. Assist in swine management during the winter months when they require additional care due to subfreezing and fluctuating temperatures and seasonal sicknesses. Medicate, vaccinate and treat for seasonal sicknesses. Break ice formation in water tanks daily. Remove snow from farm property. Sanitize livestock facilities. Remove manure and apply to fields as fertilizer. Prepare fields for planting. Pick rocks and till the soil. Operate farming equipment in order to plant crops. Fix and repair fencing. General farm related duties such as servicing equipment, farm building maintenance, and basic shop work. The employer will provide a cell phone to at least one worker per crew without charge or deposit charge during the entire period of employment.
