Agricultural Equipment Operators

Workers will work with vegetable crops including lettuce, spinach, and onions. Workers will: load and unload crops or containers of materials; load agricultural products for shipment; drive and control equipment to support agricultural activities; haul crops or supplies; operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production; observe and service farm equipment; document/record information related to the work; and any and all other tasks or activities within the scope of SOC Code 45-2091. Workers will only drive vehicles and equipment qualifying under the agricultural exemption; no CDL or English proficiency is required. Ability and licensure (at least a Class C license) to drive is required. Related duties may be assigned. Work is performed outdoors in highly varied weather conditions. Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds is required. Walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and kneeling is required. Frequent turning, pushing, and pulling is required. Operating agricultural vehicles or equipment for substantial time periods (up to a full shift) is required. Dexterity to use and manipulate agricultural equipment is required. Vision, focus, and cognitive ability to accomplish the functions above is required.
