- A diesel mechanic is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. This includes diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing routine preventative maintenance, and ensuring all systems are operating safely and efficiently.
- Duties include inspecting engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and other essential systems; using diagnostic tools and software to identify malfunctions; repairing or replacing defective components; and conducting regular services such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
