  • Duties may include: Clear snow using snowplow, shovels, and skid steer loader. Remove snow from greenhouses using push brooms and roof clearing tools, keep greenhouse heating units clear of snow. De-ice water lines during extreme cold periods. Clean and service all tractors, field implements, and small equipment used in growing season. Workers may be asked to drive between fields with trucks and equipment. Those that are requested to drive will be required to possess an appropriate license; no one will be rejected for this position that does not possess a driver’s license. Maintain greenhouses by washing/disinfecting all benches, tools, pots, greenhouse structures, including poly covering and associated equipment. Perform seasonal cleaning of other buildings, including barns, storage sheds, and housing units as needed to prepare for growing season & other related Agricultural Equipment Operator activities as per SOC/OES 45-2091 (onetonline.org)
  • Number of hours each week and daily work schedule may fluctuate depending on weather conditions.
  • Possible weekend/holiday work.
  • The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate. See attached Addendum C.

Must be 18 years of age. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 50lbs; may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Variable weather conditions may apply. Bonus potential based on work performance at the sole discretion of the employer. Employees are expected to keep employer-provided vehicles clean and free of trash. Workers may not post or remove notices, signs, or other instructions from the employer's bulletin boards or the employer's property without specific authorization from the employer.
