Atividades e descrição

• Workers will perform agricultural work related to the handling, packing, and storage of crops produced by the employer, Potatoes & Onions. Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Washing and Cleaning
• Washing harvested crops using water or cleaning equipment
• Removing soil, debris, and outer leaves as needed
• Sorting and Grading
• Sorting crops by size, quality, and condition
• Identifying and removing damaged or defective produce
• Grading products according to quality standards
• Packing
• Packing produce into bags, boxes, crates, or other containers
• Weighing and labeling containers as required
• Stacking and organizing packed products for storage or shipment
• Storage Handling
• Moving packed products into storage areas
• Assisting with loading and unloading trucks
• Organizing storage areas to maintain product quality
• General Labor
• Cleaning work areas and maintaining sanitation standards
• Performing repetitive tasks while standing for extended periods
• Lifting and carrying items weighing up to 60 pounds
• Operate trucks or other multi-purpose vehicles to transport workers from housing (weather on or off the farm) to the farm properties; haul tools, supplies, or crops; transport workers from place to place around the farm properties during the workday (including on public roads to reach the farm fields); and/or transport workers to the grocery store, bank, or laundry facilities on an as needed basis Those that are requested to drive will be required to possess an appropriate license, no one will be rejected for this position that does not possess a drivers license. Duties may vary from time to time. All applicants must possess the ability to work between hot and cold temperatures throughout their shift, work various shifts, be on their feet for long periods of time.
• All work will be performed in accordance with supervisor instructions and standard agricultural practices.
