Farm equipment operator to run 100 HP tractors, tractor-drawn machinery for the harvest of pumpkins. Use hand tools such as pruning hooks, shears, and knives. Will drive/ operate farm vehicles including trucks and forklifts. All workers are required to drive. All required driving will be on farm equipment and on farm property, farm roads and public highways. All driving or operation of equipment will be done solely on farm locations and are incidental to our agricultural operation. Workers must possess or be able to obtain a Class D driver’s license. Load pumpkins in to bins and load onto trailers. Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment. Workers should report for work with their own suitable work clothing. Field temperatures may range from 0 to 90+ degrees (F) with possible wet morning conditions Due to health and safety concerns relating to pesticide application and the operation of equipment on our farm, workers are required to have the ability to comprehend simple oral and written instructions in English. After hiring, employer may conduct random drug tests at employers expense.. Must be physically able to lift up to 80 pounds *Workers referred against this order must have a minimum of 3 months experience in performing tasks described in this order in an agricultural setting.
