• Workers will operate agricultural equipment used in the field in connection with preparing the fields and harvesting vegetable crops. Workers must be able to operate tractors and other farm machinery used in the field to prepare the ground for agricultural activity and harvest crops. Ground preparation includes leveling, disking, and ripping fields, using land planes, and chisel-plowing fields. Workers must be able to operate tractors and farm implements. Workers must be able to load and unload crops or containers of materials; load agricultural products for shipment; and drive and control equipment to support agricultural activities. Workers will only drive vehicles and equipment qualifying under the agricultural exemption; no CDL or English proficiency is required. Ability and licensure (at least a Class C license) to drive is required. Workers may perform other field operations tasks and duties under SOC Code 45-2091. Related duties may be assigned. Work is performed outdoors in highly varied weather conditions. Frequent walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and kneeling is required. Being on one’s feet for long periods of time is required. Sitting in, standing in, and/or operating field agricultural equipment for long time periods is required. Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry weight up to 50 pounds is required. Dexterity to use and manipulate field agricultural equipment is required. Vision, focus, and cognitive ability to accomplish the functions above is required.
