Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops including working with bins and augers; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Set up, repair, maintain, and operate irrigation equipment for watering crops; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and primarily John Deere self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) such as sprayer, combine, loader, forklift to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as corn, wheat, soybeans; Load agricultural products into trucks without over or underfilling bed or trailer, and drive to market or storage facilities; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Regulate conditions; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Attach implements using hand tools; Walk fields to pull weeds. Must speak and understand English.
