Farmworker/Laborer

Workers will perform manual labor to plant, cultivate, hand weed, harvest, and pack onions, potatoes, and celery. Duties include but are not limited to: Removing rocks, vines, sticks, and low quality produce from rows, plants, and produce; walking in rows alongside planting machine, sitting on planting machine removing plants from trays and setting the plants in cups, separating trash from onions and potatoes before storage; inspecting and grading onions, potatoes, and celery on a picking table, and packing into pre-pack bags in packing shed, moving irrigation line in the field. Workers must be able to work outdoors in the field and under cover in all weather conditions and uneven surfaces. Workers will clean and maintain packing sheds, storage sheds and housing. Workers must have 3 months previous experience in harvesting root vegetables.
